Providing a setting helps the teller establish that the events to be described are
interesting! The setting also lets the audience understand the action. By setting the
scene to create anticipation and dramatizing unusual events, tellers create conflict
(what will happen?!!?).

Remember narratives directly show settings, characters, and events in a search for what it is like to actually pass through a particular experience.
